Heather's passion for skiing and snowboarding comes from the experiences these sports create and the way they bring people, families, and communities together. She grew up skiing with her family in Michigan, where she developed a lifelong love for the mountains and winter sports.
After graduating from college, Heather moved to Steamboat and began her first job in the ski industry teaching children ages 3–6 how to ski. It was incredibly rewarding to watch young children gain confidence, learn new skills, and discover a passion for the sport. That experience was so meaningful that I decided to build my career in the ski industry.
Over the next ten years, Heather taught skiing before transitioning into leadership roles. Today, Heather is the Director of Skier Services at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, where she oversees the Ski & Ride School and helps create memorable experiences for guests of all ages and abilities.
Heather is honored to be part of the Snowsports Foundation because she believes deeply in its mission and vision. Snowsports play an important role in our community, providing opportunities for youth development, healthy lifestyles, personal growth, and lifelong connections. Heather is grateful for the opportunity to support an organization that helps make these experiences accessible to future generations.
