Mark moved to Crested Butte in 2002 to ski bum for a while. Picking up work as a ski instructor by day and line cook by night, he settled in and CB became his home!

Having been involved from the get-go with teaching and coaching various local ski programs, Mark got involved with the Mountain Sports Team at its inception in 2008, and is now heading into his fourth season as head freeride coach. He still moonlights catering and private cheffing, and also works at Irwin as a cat ski guide.

New to the CBSF board, Mark is excited to explore new ways to share with the community his passion for snow and mountains!
