Michael joined the CBSF Board during his clerkship year in medical school, while completing a year-long rural rotation in the Gunnison Valley through the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He quickly fell in love with the Gunnison–Crested Butte area and looked for ways to give back to the community. With a lifelong passion for skiing and mentorship, CBSF felt like a perfect fit.

Michael is pursuing a career in orthopedics and sports medicine, with hopes of returning to the mountains to practice after residency. A former Division I ski racer for Boston College and graduate of a Vermont ski academy, he now spends his weekends exploring the Colorado backcountry on skis and a snowmobile. In the off-season, he enjoys surfing, mountain biking, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.

Though currently away finishing medical training, Michael is honored to stay connected with CBSF and is passionate about supporting its athletes and mission for years to come.
