I was born in Germany and moved to Connecticut at the age of one, where I was raised. I later attended Colorado College and, after spending my final year there visiting Crested Butte regularly, decided to relocate permanently. Currently, I work as an elementary school counselor and am the mother of a six-year-old son who shares my love for skiing.

I currently work as the elementary school counselor at Crested Butte Community School, where I work with students in grades K-5. I focus on helping students develop essential social and emotional skills, fostering confidence, empathy, and kindness as they grow into well-rounded individuals."

Living in a mountain town provides a unique opportunity for children to engage in various snow sports. However, skiing and snowboarding can be costly, and it’s unfortunate that some children miss out on the chance to enjoy the natural beauty of their surroundings due to financial barriers. I believe it is important to offer all children the opportunity to experience and appreciate winter activities, ensuring that everyone has the chance to enjoy the snow in a variety of ways.
